Hello! I am Gen McLaughlin (they/them), and I am a costume designer, technician, and craftsperson operating out of Philadelphia.
My design process revolves around performer consent from the first meeting through the end of the run, prioritizing emotional and physical comfort for all collaborators. A costume should be an exciting method of entering a character, not a stifling task to overcome.
In my spare time I enjoy crocheting, playing Dungeons & Dragons with friends, burning fun smelling candles, and playing or thinking about Dragon Age.
